AI & provenance policy

Version of 27 August 2026.

How automation is used

Editorial packages are produced by an automated pipeline (computation, drafting, verification passes) under editorial procedures. This is disclosed — here, on the newsroom page, and in machine-readable provenance delivered with every package: sources, engine version, version hash, responsible editor.

EU AI Act, Article 50

For AI-generated text on matters of public interest, the transparency obligation does not apply where the material has undergone human review or editorial control and a natural or legal person holds editorial responsibility. The portal's review workflow lets a publisher record its reviewing editor, responsible entity, version and hash for each package. This supports compliance; it is not a legal guarantee, and responsibility allocation follows the content license. Publishers who publish packages without their own review should apply the labeling required in their jurisdiction.
